Backstory01 / Our foundation

Our
Philosophy.

Soleil is built on the belief that clothing becomes meaningful through the hands, histories, and people around it.

Under one sun.

What shapes us

We draw from the coast and from the intricate language of Indian henna art. One gives us ease; the other reminds us that every line can hold intention. Together, they shape a brand meant to be worn, shared, and experienced in person.

01
Culture · The hand-drawn line

Drawn with
respect.

Our visual language is informed by the rhythm, balance, negative space, and hand-drawn intricacy found in Indian henna art. We approach that influence with respect for the traditions and communities from which it comes—not as a passing motif, but as a reminder that a mark can carry memory, ritual, and connection.

Community · In real life

Made to
be met.

Pop-ups are not an extra part of Soleil; they are where the brand is most itself. New pieces arrive there first, offered at a discounted pop-up price and revealed at an address that changes each time. The surprise brings people through the door. Conversation, connection, and one afternoon together are what make them stay.

03 · The founders

Two brothers.
One point of view.

Soleil was founded by two brothers from San Diego, raised between Indian heritage at home and the Pacific just outside it.

Indian art and culture were never distant references. They were part of the visual language of everyday life—carried through family, heritage, traditions, and the objects that surrounded them.

Beyond home, life unfolded at the beach: saltwater, sun-faded clothes, and long afternoons along the San Diego coast. Soleil lives where those worlds meet.

What began as two brothers drawing from the worlds that raised them became a shared point of view: relaxed but considered, coastal but connected to something deeper.

We do not want Soleil to exist only on a screen.

The brand lives
where we meet.
